Use with interconnected smoke detectors

Luis Rossi Jan 06, 2017 03:10PM PST

Is leeo compatible with interconnected smoke detectors scenarios?

I understand the concept of the product, it listens for the smoke detector alarm pattern (3 beeps followed by a pause). But, when several smoke detectors are interconnected and they are not in sync it is possible that the leeo may sense 3 beeps from the first sensor followed by 3 beeps from the second and so on without ever sensing a pause in the noise patterns.

Is leeo capable of differentiating when beeps are coming from more than one sensor? and, if it does, will it be able to differenciate a Smoke vs CO alarm (3 beeps vs 4 beeps)?

Thanks in advance for your help you can provide

The Leeo Smart Alert does have problems with interconnected alarms. We reccomend you place a Smart Alert is an isolated area with only 1 alarm to minimize the “echo” and many users have told us it works.

The Smart Alert is able to tell the difference between standardized Smoke and CO alarms and also works with continuous tone water alarms.
